ServiceNow IRM Engineer – Senior
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow IRM Engineer to lead the technical design and implementation of Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and GRC solutions on the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will work with risk, compliance, and security stakeholders to build scalable enterprise-grade IRM capabilities while guiding junior engineers and ensuring engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow IRM modules such as Risk, Policy & Compliance, Audit, Issues, and Vendor Risk.
- Design, optimize, and maintain data models, workflows, and reporting structures to support risk and control processes.
- Develop advanced Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer flows, and IntegrationHub automations.
- Integrate ServiceNow IRM with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Work closely with architects and product owners to align IRM capabilities with enterprise risk frameworks.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce development best practices, and mentor junior platform engineers.
- Support performance optimization, security hardening, and scalability improvements for IRM applications.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and security teams to implement new risk processes, assessments, and controls.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development (IRM/GRC).
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow scripting (server-side & client-side), Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and integrations (REST/SOAP).
- Proven experience implementing IRM/GRC solutions at enterprise scale.
- Experience working closely with risk, compliance, or security stakeholders, preferably in BFSI or regulated environments.
- Ability to lead end-to-end technical design discussions and deliver complex features.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- ServiceNow certifications such as CIS-IRM, CIS-Risk & Compliance, or equivalent.
- Experience implementing IRM solutions for large banks or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with global risk management and regulatory frameworks.
